On Friday 20th July from 1:30AM Auckland, New Zealand time we will start a 4 hour maintenance period migrating VPS services on the akl2kvm node to newer hardware. In this window customers on the affected node will have a short window of downtime between 10 and 30 minutes (depending on the size of their service). This is part of wider hardware and network upgrades in this POP and should result in substantially better performance for customers after the migration as their VPS will run from faster hardware and later versions of libvirt/qemu libraries.
No customer intervention is required. IP address will not change and we will verify that all services come online after migration.
